Healthcare Expansions on the Horizon
Adventist HealthCare will debut a new, all-private room hospital as Adventist HealthCare White Oak Medical Center opens to serve patients in Montgomery, Prince George’s and surrounding counties. The $400 million White Oak Medical Center will feature 180 beds and the latest technology and treatments in a comfortable setting. The new hospital will feature private patient rooms, natural light and spaces designed to promote care and healing. It will also be home to a nationally-recognized heart program.
Bethesda’s Suburban Hospital, which has the area’s only designated Trauma Center, is undergoing a campus transformation with a new 300,000 SF, state-of-the-art clinical addition set to open in early 2020. With the expansion and enhanced facilities, the hospital will continue to provide high-quality healthcare services to Montgomery County and surrounding areas—including new operating suites for trauma and other surgeries that can incorporate innovations in surgical care technology such as MRI and robotics. The project will nearly double the size of the hospital.
Adventist Healthcare
With headquarters in Gaithersburg, MD, Adventist is an integrated health-care delivery network including four nationally-accredited, acute-care and specialty hospitals, mental health services and home health agencies. Locations include Germantown, Takoma Park, Gaithersburg and Clarksburg.
Holy Cross Health
Holy Cross Health is a trusted provider of innovative and quality healthcare services in Montgomery County for 50-plus years. Along with major hospitals in Silver Spring and Germantown, the Health Network operates Holy Cross Health Centers in Aspen Hill, Gaithersburg, Germantown and Silver Spring; provides primary care at Holy Cross Health Partners at Asbury Methodist Village and in Kensington. A major employer, the team includes more than 4,200 employees, 1,500 community-based physicians and 400 volunteers, working to meet the community’s full spectrum of healthcare and wellness needs.
KAISER PERMANENTE
Kaiser Permanente has been leading the way with innovative approaches to healthcare since 1945. The company provides high-quality, affordable healthcare services to improve the health of their members and the community they serve. Kaiser Permanente has a major presence in Montgomery County with its regional headquarters located in Rockville, along with a lab and four medical office buildings in Gaithersburg, Kensington, Silver Spring and Rockville.
MedStar Montgomery General Center
MedStar Health cares for more than a half-million patients each year across Maryland and Washington, D.C., and has one of its area locations in Olney. Suburban Hospital
A community-based, not-for-profit hospital based in Bethesda, it has been part of the Montgomery County community since 1943. In 2009, Suburban Hospital became a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine. The designated trauma center for Montgomery County, Suburban Hospital is affiliated with many local healthcare organizations, including the National Institutes of Health.
