Montgomery Makers and Manufacturers
How MoCo Manufacturers Can Help the Community
MCEDC is sourcing from local makers and manufacturers who can provide medical supplies and equipment to our first responders, hospitals, and healthcare workers.
Local Production Fund
MCEDC’s Local Production Fund was created to support small and medium-sized manufacturers/producers with the working capital necessary to make pandemic-related items, such as face shields, medical supplies and other essential items. The Local Production Fund received many quality submittals and made 25 awards; you can see the full list and read about them here.

Each day, our residents, businesses and community groups organize new ways to create and source personal protective equipment (PPE).
The County government, KID Museum and other 3D-printing volunteers in the DMV have agreed to the Prusa design for face shields.
