MoCo Restaurants and Farmers Are Feeding Our Community
As of June 1, all restaurants, bars and other similar establishments that sell food and beverages for on-site consumption in Montgomery County are permitted to serve customers in outdoor seating areas after completing this easy registration process.
Guidelines for restaurants and bars providing outdoor seating service can be found at the County’s Reopening Montgomery webpage. Explore expanded outdoor dining options in Bethesda and Silver Spring.

Offering Curbside and Delivery Services
Montgomery County is home to an Agricultural Reserve of 93,000 sprawling acres. Some of the forward-thinking farmers of MoCo are offering farm fresh foods with no contact pick up.
See the list of participating farms and get a taste of produce and other foods & beverages—available from their farms to your table—reinforcing that important connection of farmers to families. Farms continue to be a great resource during a health crisis and beyond—showcasing their importance in ensuring the availability of food.

Pick your Own is In Season
Find fresh, local and seasonal at the many participating farms in Montgomery County. Farmer’s Markets
Nothing better than buying local and delicious, fresh off the farm. From Takoma Park and Olney to Montgomery Village and Wheaton, many of Montgomery County’s favorite Farmer’s Markets are open for business (be sure to check if your local farmer’s market is open—some have temporarily closed due to the pandemic). Montgomery County regulatory changes
In addition to beer and wine, the Montgomery County Department of Alcohol & Beverage Services now allows licensed restaurants to sell cocktails in takeout cups with lids. Note that state law prohibits the delivery of alcohol by a third party, such as Grubhub or Uber Eats. Restaurants should apply here for permission.
