Employers today say there’s a talent shortage – but what if they’re just not looking in the right place? There are more than 70+ million workers Skilled Through Alternative Routes (STARs), rather than through a bachelor’s degree who are being overlooked today. Nearly half of these STARs have the skills to thrive in in-demand roles, but they’re overlooked and held back by the paper ceiling – the invisible barrier that comes at every turn for workers without a bachelor’s degree – and it’s hurting their upward mobility and employers’ diversity efforts. Learn about the size, demographics, and skills of the STARs talent pool, ways to find them, and how your organization can start supporting STARs.

There are days the gremlins are louder than you’d like them to be. There are days you wonder, “Am I really a business owner?”
In this discussion-based session, we will work through the questions that linger in most start-up founders’ minds, then create a path for you to move forward with confidence.
• Uncover the tools you already possess to show up more powerfully
• Tap into yourself in new ways to catapult your (and your team’s!) performance
• Increase your confidence as a business owner to drive your business more effectively

Cyber security has historically conjured up thoughts of hooded bandits working in a dark room to hack into our nation’s defense systems and corporation’s websites. The COVID-19 pandemic has proven that cyber security extends far beyond national security and online presence as it affects our daily lives and business operations. Businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, healthcare entities, and nonprofits alike are all grappling with IT (Information Technology) infrastructure challenges, and the pressures will not subside anytime soon.
Teleworking, telehealth, virtual learning, and e-commerce are just a few daily practices being influenced by data security, access, and management. Simultaneously, labor shortages continue to challenge technology firms in their ability to combat digital adversaries. Future business profits undoubtedly will be linked to the cyber and risk management practices business entities put in place and the ongoing training their employees receive as they protect their data assets and intellectual property.

If you are a non-technical founder, you hold the keys to your product and your tech team's success. Most software developers might not want you to know this, but tech is the easy part of building a great app. The hard part is identifying how that app solves real, human problems. You don’t have to know how to code to prepare a great product for development, but you do need to translate your solutions to the language of your development team and understand what they are going through as they build new technology. In this webinar, you will learn:
- Common misconceptions about building technology
- Prioritization matrix for MVP features
- Aligning on user outcomes
- How to give your tech team the information they need

What information needs to be gathered to assess the feasibility of a business;
Strategies for supporting a person with a disability and their employment team with gathering that information; and
Steps for evaluating the results to ensure that the proposed concept is both viable and meets the person’s ideal conditions for employment.
In this session we invite participants to take the traditional business feasibility process and think differently about providing support.
Who should attend?
