Community Impact Funds
Public-private- partnership with Montgomery County Government and Schools to improve the lives of low-income children and families in the county
Sharing Montgomery: Provides grants to 501(c)(3)s serving low-income children, youth, adults, families, and/or seniors living in Montgomery County. Fund for Children, Youth, and Families: Fund initiatives that address stable homes and stable families, foster care and adoption, and academic and career success.
Catalyst Fund: Support for partners focused on wealth-building and entrepreneurship among low-income residents of color through microloans, small business training, and support for micro-enterprise development.
Environmental and Preservation Fund: Support nonprofits with a track record in preserving, protecting, or encouraging sustainable use of natural or built environments in the DC region particularly those affecting low-income communities. This includes preserving historic places and neighborhood diversity, equitable access to natural resources, conservation, or education and advocacy for environmental issues.
Workforce Development Collaborative: Fund programs and policies that enable people to increase their skills, credentials, employment and wages with an emphasis on eliminating income gaps based on race and gender. Also work to expand benefits for lowincome families such as paid family and medical leave, affordable childcare, and minimum wage increase.
Open Grant Opportunities: One-time grant funds available multiple times a year. There are about three or four funds available each year and each with their own unique purpose. Maryland Nonprofit Interest-Free, Micro Bridge Loan (NIMBL) This interest free micro bridge loan program and fund supports the operations of nonprofit entities.
